Tractor Requirements
• 3-axle and 4-axle trucks accepted.
• 10 Years old or newer preferred. *Older trucks can be considered upon inspection. Please send or email pictures of older trucks to recruiting@dailyexp.com.
• No super single tires.
• Headache rack or bulkhead required.
• Sleeper berth required.
• Engine Brake: Jake Brake or similar type.
• Fifth Wheel: Sliding, preferred height 48-52”.
• Door Signs: Daily Express decals (23” x 12”) required on each door (decals must by displayed on door only). Decals are professionally installed for no cost at our shop during orientation.
• Registration: Free Illinois IRP or Contractor provided 48 state registration.
Trailers
Most Daily Express Contractors pull company provided stepdeck and lowboy trailer equipment.
Stepdeck Trailer Requirements
Contactors may choose to lease on as a “full unit” with truck and stepdeck trailer.
• Stepdecks: 48-53’
• Maximum deck height 40”, decks lower than 40” are preferred.
• Tandem, spread axle, or 3-axle.
• Contractor provided registration.
RGN Trailer Requirements
2 Axle RGN
• Minimum 30 ton capacity
• Must have a removable neck
• Minimum 29’ well – no stretch trailers
• Front deck should be flat floor design so it can be loaded
• Boom trough preferred
• 20” or lower loaded ride height
• Minimum tire size – 255/70r 22.5
3 Axle RGN
• Minimum 35 ton capacity
• Must have a removable neck
• Minimum 29’ well – no stretch trailers
• Front deck can be a “gooseneck” or flat floor design
• Boom trough preferred
• 20” or lower loaded ride height
• Minimum tire size – 275 / 70r 22.5
