Medical/Dental/Life/Disability Benefits
The Medical/Dental Plan is provided to employees at no cost.
*Spouse or 1 dependant may be added to the plan at a cost of $67.20 per month.
2 or more dependant(s) may be added to the plan at a total cost of $115.50 per month.
Medical Plan: Plan pays 80% of covered expenses up to $2,500 and pays 100% of expenses thereafter.
Annual Deductible: $178 per individual (per calendar year)
$356 per family (per calendar year)
Dental Plan: Plan pays 100% of covered expenses.
Life Insurance: The company provides life insurance coverage equal to one and one half times annual earnings up to a maximum of $50,000. Supplemental coverage is available.
Disability: Short Term & Long Term
Vacation $100/day
1 - 3 years........... 1 day for each 12,000 miles
4 - 6 years........... 1 day for each 8,000 miles
7 - 9 years........... 1 day for each 6,000 miles
10 years+............ 1 day for each 5,000 miles
Holidays: There are seven paid holidays per calendar year.
Profit Sharing: Daily Express, Inc. provides a Defined Contribution Plan that requires no contributions from employees. Contributions to the plan begin following one year of employment and generally average 10% or more of the employee’s annual salary. Employees become 100% vested in the plan following 3 years of service.
401k: Employees may also contribute a percentage of their salary to a 401k plan.
