| • Effective January 1, 2010: The Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach are restricted to trucks 2004 or newer. Day passes will no longer be issued! The Daily Express Annual Safety Banquet will be held at the Hotel Carlisle on Saturday, January 9th, 2010. All contractors and drivers and their guests are invited. Please contact Liz Bender lbender@dailyexp.com ext. 2142 to confirm your reservation. |
| • GE Hubs: Effective 12/1/09 the Pitch Bearing will be the only part of the Hub that is shrink-wrapped. GE will not accept a tarp less than 30' x 30'. One hundred percent of the hub will have to be covered. In addition, throw away tarps will no longer be accepted. If drivers arrive without the proper sized tarp, or no tarp at all, loading will be refused. |
| • 12/3/09: Use our "trailer drop line" ANYTIME a trailer is dropped that needs repair, inspection or any type of attention. This is a tool that all drivers can utilize. Call 800-733-2459 ext 2043. Thanks for your help! |
