 DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS

An operation such as Daily's requires special emphasis on safety.  It is not by chance that we have one of the best safety records in the industry.  Daily Express has a "Safety Task Force" which stresses the importance of legal and safe operations.  This group insures our drivers that they will never have to do anything that will jeopardize their driving future or safety record.

• AGE-
      Minimum age of twenty-three (23) years old.

• EXPERIENCE-
      24 months of verifiable over-the-road experience with a semi tractor.  Flatbed experience preferred.

• LICENSE-
      Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by your home state.

• PHYSICAL-
      Must possess a valid D.O.T. physical (examination date must be within 1 year of lease on date).

• SAFETY RECORD-
      No record of driver's license suspension or revocation for more than thirty (30) days during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the date of hire.

• No record of citation or conviction for the violations listed below during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the date of hire.

1. Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
2. Refusal to take a test required by an implied consent or similar law.
3. Violation of an "open container" law or similar statute.
4. Reckless homicide or involuntary manslaughter.
5. Leaving the scene of an accident or "hit and run."
6. Speed exhibition, contact or drag racing.
7. Operating while under suspension or revocation.
8. Use of motor vehicle in the commission of a felony.
9. Assault with a motor vehicle.
10. Reckless driving or careless endangerment.
11. Operating a motor vehicle without the permission of the owner.
12. Fleeing or eluding a police officer.

• No record of convictions for more than three (3) moving violations during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the date of lease.

• No record of involvement in more than two (2) at-fault accidents and more than one (1) moving violation during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the date of lease.

• No record of involvement in more than two (2) moving violations and more than one (1) at-fault accident during the thirty-six (36) month period prior to the date of lease.

• AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION-
      No drug or alcohol convictions within the previous 5 years.

• REQUIRED-
      Must take a physical, drug screen, road test, written examinations, and attend 2 day orientation at our home office in Carlisle, PA.

• DRIVER PROFILE-
      How will you fit in?  Over the years Daily Express has found that successful contractors will answer "yes" to at least 8 of the following 10 questions.

1. Are you willing to work long and irregular hours in order to get the job done?
2. Are God, family, and work your 3 vital points of life?
3. Can you reliably perform any job voluntarily undertaken without supervision?
4. Can you apply years of driving experience to transport over dimensional loads that are subject to driving restrictions that tempt the patience of a saint?
5. Are you willing to invest time and money to keep your tractor in good running condition?
6. Do you respect the dignity of customers and associates in the performance of their jobs?
7. Can you achieve a safe driving record of 2 preventable accidents per 1,000,000 miles?
8. Are you unafraid to get your hands dirty to complete any job?
9. Do you have the ability to operate several different types of lowboy and drop deck equipment?
10. Do you enjoy the professional satisfaction of sharing in the success of a growing company?
